Indy non-profit robbed in January now in running for grant

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A local organization that was the victim of a theft is now in the running for a major grant.

Nine13sports is a non-profit organization that works to keep kids active. The organization takes stationary bikes into elementary and middle schools to help kids get engaged with fitness.

In January, someone broke into a trailer carrying bicycles and other valuables.

Now, Nine13 is one of five finalists for this year’s “Tip The Hat” grant from Indianapolis-based Lids Foundation. First prize is $125,000.
