Police chief talks about latest work in department

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Every month Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Chief of Police Tory Riggs gives an update on the latest work in the department.

On Tuesday, during Daybreak Chief Riggs answered questions about two overnight gas station robberies that police say were committed by the same person.

The robberies happened around 1:30 and 2 a.m. at a Shell gas station in the 3000 block of North Illinois Street and at a Conoco gas station in the 4100 block of East 16th Street.

Chief Riggs also talked about where he stands with his plans to emphasize the importance of the relationship between police and the people you serve.
