Warrant leads to 4 fugitive arrests

MARION COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Marion County Sheriff’s Office conducted a warrant investigation that led to four fugitives’ arrests.

According to the release, when deputies searched a house in the 1200 block of South Kappes Street, they found eight people, two of whom had felony warrants.

When they continued the search in the basement, they went through hidden tunnels and crawl spaces and eventually found two more fugitives with outstanding warrants hiding in a closet.

“I commend our deputies for their incredible work on these four arrests,” Sheriff John Layton said. “Their thorough investigation, which resulted in taking four fugitives off of the street, when they were looking for one, is a great example of their dedication to their job and protecting the people of Indianapolis. That neighborhood is a lot safer today thanks to their hard work.”

The fugitives arrested are: Kevin Luther, 29, Shawn Bryant, 37, Keri Wildrick, 28 and Charles Ellis, 28.
