Plainfield police searching for bank robbery suspect

PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — The Plainfield Police Department is seeking a man following a Friday afternoon bank robbery.

Around 4:30 Friday, the Plainfield Citizens Bank at 2402 E. Main St. was robbed by a white male, described as being in his early 20s with light, blond hair. He is between 5’5″ and 5’8″ tall and about 130-145 pounds. He was wearing a dark black stocking cap, sunglasses, a black zip-up sweatshirt, a white buttoned shirt underneath and jeans.

Police said he presented the teller with a note asking for $10,000. How much money he got away with has not been disclosed.

He was seen heading northbound on Shady Lane.
