Victim in serious condition after northeast side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were responding to the scene of a person shot on Monday.

Police were called to the 1000 block of North Rural Street around 4:40 a.m. That’s near 10th Street at a gas station.

According to IMPD, the male victim was shot at a different location and came to the gas station to get help. Officers had crime scene tape up at an apartment building between Temple and Tacoma.

The victim was shot in the stomach and in serious condition He was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital.

Details about a suspect weren’t immediately clear.
