Find great spring break packages at White River State park

If you haven’t made spring break plans yet, you can plan on visiting White River State Park and make a vacation out of it by staying at the Conrad hotel. In fact after visiting the attractions at the Park, you’ll think you have traveled the world! Bob Whitt, Executive Director of White River State Park, runs down the list of what he calls, “fun for everyone!”

– There are babies everywhere you look when you visit the Indianapolis Zoo. Three lion cubs, a gibbon, 2 meerkats and the tallest baby. . . a giraffe that was 6 feet tall when born. Daily dolphin shows as well!

– The IMAX Theater is also celebrating our national parks by showing National Parks Adventure 3D. The beautiful film is inspirational. Opening on March 25, the Theater will also be showing Batman v Superman 20 minutes of the film was shot in full-frame IMAX.

– In honor of the 100th anniversary of the national park system, the Eiteljorg Museumis featuring The Great Canyon exhibit opening on March 26

– The Indiana State Museum is looking to our past with a previously unknown artifact from Abraham Lincoln’s life in Indiana. The rail splitter/bench mallet has not been on display for 188 years. In addition the museum is celebrating our state’s bicentennial with a special exhibit 200 Years of Indiana Art: A Cultural Legacy.

– The NCAA Hall of Champions is celebrating the month of March. The Women’s Final Four is being held in Indy this year and what better way to get into the game than at the Hall. There is a special photography exhibit on the Women’s Final Four. Opening on March 29. Fans can come to the Hall on the 19th and 26th wearing their favorite team’s sweatshirt and receiving $1 off admission. Tournament games will be televised and popcorn is only 50 cents! Weather permitting, you can rent a bike at Wheel Fun Rentals or plan a guided Segway tour of the Park and Canal.

Even though it is pre-season for both the Indianapolis Indians and the Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn, tickets are available for purchase.
