Lawrence police arrest armed robbery suspect, 1 still on the run

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers took a person into custody who they say robbed a gas station overnight.

Police responded to a robbery at a Speedway gas station at East 10th Street and Mitthoeffer Road. They say that two suspects robbed the gas station and drove off.

Officer in Lawrence say they later spotted the car on East 40th Street. The driver of the car jumped out and ran off.

Officers were able to catch the passenger, but the driver was still at large.

According to police, the suspects might be connected to an armed robbery from Monday.

Police say no one was hurt in the robbery.
