6 arrested by Tippecanoe County Drug Task Force

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – After a two-weeklong investigation, detectives with the Tippecanoe County Drug Task Force along with assistance from five other agencies arrested six people Tuesday, and all six now face drug-related charges.

Lafayette police said the incident began early Tuesday morning at a hotel in the 4200 block of South Street, near Interstate 65. Officers attempted to pull over the suspect, after they said he was dealing methamphetamine.

However, after being stopped the suspect then fled the traffic stop. Deputies with the Tippecanoe County and Clinton County sheriff’s offices located the vehicle in Clinton County. A K-9 was used to track the man on foot.

Brian Gaby, 44, of Lafayette, was arrested in Clinton County.

According to police, two others were taken into custody at the hotel. Police arrested 26-year-old Kendra Rossetter and 30-year-old Kevin Wendling, both of Lafayette.

From there the investigation turned to two Lafayette homes. One on the 1900 block of Greenbush Street and the other on the 1900 block of Morton Street. During the investigation, detectives said they seized 58.4 grams of meth, 16.8 grams of heroin, 2.5 grams of cocaine and two firearms.

Police took two people into custody at those residences. Officers arrested 34-year-old Wesley Bell and 34-year-old Tiffany Zollars, both of Lafayette.

Later Tuesday evening in a related incident, police arrested 39-year-old Keith Glass, of Lafayette. The Tippecanoe County Drug Task Force and the Lafayette Police Street Crimes Unit went to a home on the 4200 block of Commerce Drive. Officers said they found 22.6 grams of meth, Oxycontin and hydrocodone pills and a firearm that was on Glass.

All six people were taken and booked into the Tippecanoe County Jail. All six now face drug-related charges.

Gaby has been preliminary charged with:

  • Dealing methamphetamine over 10 grams
  • Dealing a narcotic drug (heroin) over 10 grams
  • Possession of methamphetamine over 10 grams
  • Possession of cocaine less than 5 grams
  • Dealing cocaine less than 5 grams
  • RLE in a vehicle

Rossetter has been preliminary charged with:

  • Conspiracy to deal methamphetamine less than 5 grams
  • Conspiracy to deal a narcotic drug (heroin) less than 5 grams

Wendling has been preliminary charged with:

  • Conspiracy to deal methamphetamine less than 5 grams
  • Conspiracy to deal a narcotic drug (heroin) less than 5 grams

Bell has been preliminary charged with:

  • Dealing methamphetamine under 5 grams
  • Possession of methamphetamine under 5 grams
  • Dealing methamphetamine over 5 grams
  • Possession of methamphetamine over 5 grams
  • Conspiracy to commit dealing in methamphetamine over 10 grams
  • Conspiracy to commit possession of methamphetamine over 10 grams

Zollars has been preliminary charged with:

  • Conspiracy to commit dealing in Methamphetamine over 10 grams

Glass has been preliminary charged with:

  • Dealing methamphetamine over 10 grams while armed
  • Possession of methamphetamine over 10 grams while armed
  • Possession of handgun without a permit
  • Possession of Sch I, II, III, IV controlled substance

Other agencies that helped the Lafayette Police Department during the investigation included the West Lafayette Police Department, the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section, the Indiana National Guard and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
