Trial rescheduled for man accused of killing Wisconsin woman

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) – A judge has rescheduled a trial for an Indiana man accused of killing a Wisconsin woman after a mistrial was declared.

Thirty-nine-year-old Franklin J. Dent of Fort Wayne is accused of killing 34-year-old Jessica Fecht of Portage, Wisconsin, and charges against him include murder. Fecht’s body was found buried in the basement of a Fort Wayne home in February 2015.

Dent was scheduled to stand trial Tuesday. One of his sisters began yelling at another sister as potential jurors were led to the courtroom. The judge declared a mistrial because of the statements made in the presence of potential jurors.

The judge rescheduled the case for an August trial.
