Columbus man with three outstanding warrants arrested after traffic stop

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department initiated a traffic stop that led to the arrest of a man with three outstanding warrants.

Police say they stopped a vehicle near Lowell Road for erratic driving.

The man said he had no identification on him but he was later recognized as a man with three outstanding warrants.

The officer also observed a glass smoking pipe with white residue in the car. It later tested positive for methamphetamine.

22-year-old Marty Joe Sutton II was arrested with preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and three outstanding warrants.

He is currently in the Bartholomew County Jail.
