Dog left for dead in construction site dumpster

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The Humane Society in Boone County is hoping to find the person responsible for leaving a dog in a construction site dumpster.

The Humane Society believes that whoever left the dog there left him to die.

On Thursday, a neighbor in the Clark Meadows neighborhood heard a dog barking from inside the dumpster. The neighbor called police.

With the help of Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department, Whitestown Fire Department and the Humane Society the dog was removed safely. The dog is doing OK.

The Humane Society is asking that if you noticed something suspicious around that area to call the Whitestown Police Department at 317-769-2677.
