Police make arrest in connection to February armed robbery

AVON,Ind. (WISH) – Police in Avon have made an arrest connected to a February armed robbery.

According to police, 28-year-old Ben McCullough was arrested on a warrant for armed robbery.

The armed robbery happened at the PNC Bank at U.S. Highway and Road in Avon on February 26.

Police say that suspect entered the bank and slipped a teller a note demanding cash, saying he had a gun.

The suspect then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police continue to say that they received several tips that eventually lead to McCullough’s arrest.

McCullough was transported to the Hendricks County Jail where he is being held on $100,000 bond.
