Security responds to person’s attempt to get on stage at Trump rally

VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke at the Dayton (Ohio) Arrow Airport Saturday.

During the event, someone tried to get on the stage. Security immediately surrounded Trump while they dealt with the person. Based on jail records, Thomas Dimassimo was arrested for disorderly conduct and inducing panic. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and is expected in court Monday.

Concern over security grew after yesterday’s protest in Chicago that resulted in Trump cancelling the rally. The protesters closed in on the building, obstructing most of the exits just as Trump supporters began filing out. The Trump supporters had little choice but to push through the anti-Trump crowds that parted only slightly, yelling, “Racists go home!”

Dayton International Airport Police Chief Mike Etter says he plans to meet with Trump’s campaign and Secret Service Saturday morning to re-evaluate security measures. Etters says at that point they’ll address any concerns and make necessary changes.
