Woman dies at Soldiers and Sailors monument
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A woman fell and then died at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Saturday evening.
According to Indiana State Police, witnesses said 41-year-old Jennifer Civitarese of Kokomo fell down approximately eight stairs inside the monument.
She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Foul play is not suspected. An autopsy will be conduced by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.
The monument was closed for the remainder of the evening.
