INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Storm Prediction Center has placed a good part of central Indiana under a slight risk of severe thunderstorms for late Tuesday. A storm system will move in from the west, and could produce a line of strong thunderstorms. Timing will be key. If thunderstorms arrive during the late afternoon or early evening, there will be more energy for thunderstorms to work with. If they arrive late evening, or overnight, there will be a lower threat of severe weather.
The biggest threat with these storms will be damaging wind, but there could be some small hail. Stay with Storm Track 8 as we track any thunderstorms that could develop.
