IMPD searching for construction fraud suspects
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Two suspects are on the loose after they conned an elderly woman out of $3,500.
Police are looking for two men who went to the elderly homeowner’s house and asked for money to repair her roof.
According to the release, they claimed to be with the Statewide Construction Roof Manufacturing Company.
The roof repairs were false and the men walked away from the home with a check for $3,500 and some stolen credit cards from the woman.
When they cashed the check, a white woman was with them.
One of the suspects used the stolen credit card at the Circle K on East 21st Street and North Shadeland Avenue.
