Butler guard returns home

RALEIGH, N.C. (WISH) — One Butler Bulldog was especially happy playing in Raleigh in the NCAA tournament. Junior point guard Tyler Lewis, a North Carolina native and North Carolina State transfer, played two seasons for the Wolfpack at PNC Arena, where the Bulldogs meet Texas Tech Thursday afternoon.

“I’m so excited, I love Raleigh. This arena is great, so happy to be home again,” said Lewis, who rotates with Rose Jones as point guard.

“I think Raleigh is a beautiful place. I just hope we can win and stay a few extra days,” Lewis said.

Lewis said getting extra tickets for family has been tough but having a private rooting section will be fun.

“It will help all of us,” said Lewis.
