Watch: Florida police rescue flamingo running through traffic
HIALEAH, Fla. (WFLA) – A Hialeah, Florida police officer rescued a large pink flamingo Sunday.
The flamingo was running through traffic when the officer chased it “in an effort to prevent a traffic accident or any harm to the flamingo,” police said.
Officer J. Romero, with help from Sgt. M. Espinoza, captured the bird using a traffic jacket.
Romero took the flamingo to the Hialeah Park Casino sanctuary area. It is in good health, police said.
