Nike to release ‘Back to the Future’ inspired shoe

(WISH) – An invention dreamed up by the creators of ‘Back to the Future’ – is now a reality.

On Wednesday, Nike unveiled an auto-lacing sneaker. It’s called the “Hyper Adapt 1.0.”

The company says the show automatically adjusts to the wearer’s foot, and can be adjusted using buttons located on the sides.

They say that the show is the first step into the future of adaptive performance, calling it a symbiotic relationship between the foot and shoe.

The creators hope the shoe will reduce the typical athletes concern – distraction.

Tiffany Beers a Senior Innovator at NIKE, Inc said when you put your foot in the show your heel will act as a sensor tightening the shoe to it’s perfect fit for you. You can also adjust it until it is perfect with two buttons that will allow you to tighten or loosen the fit.

Nike says the new shoe will be available in black, grey, and white for the 2016 holiday season for members of Nike+.
