Peru teen dies in Miami Co. rollover crash
MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A Peru teen is dead after a single vehicle crash in Miami County on Wednesday.
Police responded to a crash near Miami County Road 400 South around 7:23 p.m.
According to the crash report, 18-year-old Parker Klein was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala north on County Road 200 West, south of Miami County Road 400 South. The car went off the road and Klein attempted to correct the wheel causing him to hit a fence gate. The car then rolled at least one time.
Klein was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say that Klein was wearing a seatbealt, but the impact of the crash was to severe.
Police believe that speed was a factor in the crash.
