Peyton Manning hosts annual children’s hospital gala

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Peyton Manning helped raise money for the hospital bearing his name.

The former Colts quarterback hosted the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital ninth annual Caring Gala Saturday.

More than 1,000 people attended the event.

Since 2008, Manning has helped St. Vincent’s Hospital raise $8 million.

Manning retired from the NFL two weeks ago.

On Friday, he attended a press conference where Colts owner Jim Irsay announced plans to build a statue in Manning’s honor.
