INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two people died in a crash on the southeast side of Indianapolis Monday evening.
The crash involved a sedan and an SUV. Police confirmed to 24-Hour News 8 that one man and one woman in a sedan died.
Police did not give ages of the two deceased but said both were young people.
It happened around 9 p.m. near Post Road and Rawles Avenue.
A man and woman in the SUV also involved in the crash were transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital. One was listed in serious condition and one was listed in stable condition.
Police said the driver of the SUV was alert when officers arrived on scene and was cooperative with authorities.
Police went on to say that the SUV appeared to be traveling southbound on Post Road. The sedan is believed to have been traveling southbound. Investigators believe that the cars were traveling at full speed when the collision occurred.
