MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A man who threatened police and barricaded himself inside a home for hours was arrested Friday, according to Indiana State Police.
ISP says Riley H. Allen, 21, of Bloomington said he would hurt himself via “suicide by cop.”
When troopers arrived to a home in the 3000 block of South Garrison Chapel Road Friday morning, Allen refused to come out, ISP says.
Allen told two troopers he would “shoot them both,” according to ISP.
Additional law enforcement, including a SWAT team, were called to the home.
After several hours, ISP negotiators convinced Allen to peacefully surrender. He was taken to the Monroe County Jail.
No one was injured.
