Rally begs IMPD for answers in unsolved murder cases

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A rally was held Sunday to put a spotlight on 50 unsolved murder cases in 2015.

The Ten Point Coalition put the rally together.

Gregory Wilson was killed last October in one of the unsolved cases. His father joined the coalition to plead for that murder to be solved. .

“He was just shot down, I don’t know why. We want answers, we want the cases solved, we miss our loved one,” said Gregory Wilson Sr.

He says his son was killed in broad daylight on 30th Street and Capitol.

“We believe that IMPD needs to assign a special unit that deals with all of these unsolved homicides that include detectives that were involved in 2009 when IMPD led the nation when it came to the clearance rate for homicides,” said Rev. Charles Harrison from the Ten Point Coalition.

The We Will Never Forget rally took place at North United Methodist church.
