‘Good Bones’ stars talk about show premier

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indianapolis mother-daughter duo star in the new show “Good Bones” premiering Tuesday night at 11 p.m. on HGTV.

Mother Karen E. Laine and daughter Mina Starsiak of Two Chicks and a Hammer have spent several years transforming properties around the Fountain Square area, often taking homes down to the studs and rebuilding them into stunning properties.

The pair was contacted in 2015 by production company High Noon Entertainment which produces hit shows, including “Fixer Upper” and “Cake Boss.” The company produced a pilot episode with the pair, which aired on HGTV in May 2015.

Laine and Starsiak visited Daybreak when the show’s pilot aired in May and at the time, the duo stressed there was no guarantee their show would be picked up for a full season.

Later that month, the official decision had been made that the pair would star in a full season of shows in 2016.

“We’ve learned so much,” the pair said on Daybreak Tuesday morning.

Ten episodes of the new show, Good Bones, will air on Tuesday nights at 11 p.m on HGTV.
