ISP: 25 pounds of high grade marijuana seized during traffic stop

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana State Police troopers found 25 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $150,000 during a traffic stop Tuesday morning.

ISP says a trooper pulled over a vehicle for following too close to another driver on I-70 eastbound near mile marker 36 around 11:45 a.m.

A sheriff’s department K-9 named Bo sniffed out suspected high grade marijuana in duffle bags in the car’s trunk, ISP says.

Kenny Pereyra, 22, of Manassas, Virginia, and Anthony Bourdie, 26, of Fairfax, Virginia, were arrested and face preliminary charges of dealing marijuana over 10 pounds and possession of marijuana over 10 pounds. Both charges are felonies.

ISP says the pair was traveling from Colorado to Virginia. They were taken to the Putnam County Jail.
