Former Indy 500 driver Sarah Fisher offers reward for identifying theft suspect

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — A racing icon is asking for help identifying a man caught on surveillance video.

Former driver now-turned entrepreneur Sarah Fisher says he is a person of interest in a theft that occurred at a Speedway property.

According to the Speedway police report, a theft was reported at Speedway Indoor Karting at 1067 Main Street, which is owned by Fisher. She was the youngest woman to ever qualify for the Indy 500 at 19 years old.

Fisher took to social media Thursday night asking people to tell her or the police who this man is. The images are from surveillance footage at the business, which is under construction. The man’s face is clearly visible in one of the pictures. He has dark hair, a goatee, and is wearing a West Coast Choppers jacket with a large logo on the back.

According to Fisher’s social media posts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, the man is wanted for questioning in the theft of a computer that happened Thursday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

If you do know who that man is, Fishers says she’s willing to pay you for that information. In a Twitter post, Fisher pledged $1,000 to anyone who identifies him and said she “Will not tolerate this in my building.”
