Warmer temperatures and periods of rain in store for weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – After a chilly start to our Saturday morning, we will benefit from dry air and plenty of sunshine through Saturday afternoon. Expect a mix of sun and clouds, with highs topping out in the low 60s.

Looking ahead to Easter Sunday, the early morning hours look dry, with mostly cloudy skies. Scattered showers move in by late morning, and could see more widespread rain, maybe even a few thunderstorms possible by the afternoon. There is a marginal risk for severe storms for areas south and southeast of Indianapolis.

Strong winds will the primary threat for any storm that develops.

Rain should clear the area by Sunday night.

A lot of up and down temperatures are expected over the next 8-14 days, ranging from above average to below average. Next weekend’s overnight lows are again, expected to fall at or below the freezing mark.
