Police arrest two in connection to string of armed robberies targeting Latinos

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department have arrested two individuals in connection to a string of armed robberies targeting Latinos.

According to IMPD, 23-year-old Shaquille Washington and 21-year-old Brian Artis Jr. were taken into custody Friday March 25 after allegedly robbing a Latino female at gunpoint.

Police said the two individuals carried out the majority of their robberies on the northwest side of the city.

Both Washington and Artis Jr. have been preliminarily charged with robbery, while other preliminary charges are still possible.
