Columbus Councilman charged with indecent exposure

COLUMBUS, Ind. (AP) – Indiana State Police say a councilman in the central Indiana city of Columbus is charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure.

State police said Monday that 61-year-old Dascal D. Bunch of Columbus is accused of exposing himself through uncovered windows in his residence. Authorities say people could easily see him from outside and neighboring homes. Authorities say the incidents happened in March and November of 2015 and January of this year.

A special prosecutor has been appointed and state police handled the investigation because of Bunch’s position on the city council. Charges were filed in Batholomew County. Bunch’s next court date is April 4.

Bunch does not have a listed home phone number and didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment.

Columbus is about 45 miles south of Indianapolis.
