Overnight frost expected

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – After a mild weekend, colder temperatures have moved back in to central Indiana.

Monday afternoon highs struggled to hit 50 degrees in Indianapolis, with many areas north of I-70 only topping out in the upper 40s Monday afternoon.

Clouds will continue to break Monday evening, along with diminishing winds. The combination will allow for temperatures to tumble quickly overnight. Lows will dip to the low to mid 30s, creating patchy frost across all of central Indiana.

A frost advisory is in effect for southeastern Indiana until 9:00 a.m., Tuesday.

Temperatures will bounce back to near 60 degrees with mostly sunny skies Tuesday afternoon.
