Crews rescue child trapped after far west side crash

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Emergency crews rescued a young boy trapped in a vehicle after a crash on the far west side of Indianapolis Tuesday evening.

It happened around 9 p.m. at Bridgeport Road and Rockville Road, according to the Wayne Township Fire Department.

A WTFD official says two vehicle were involved in a T-bone crash.

The boy was taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health in serious but stable condition.

A woman was also injured. She was transported to the hospital in good condition.

Crews worked for 15 minutes to cut the child out of the vehicle, WTFD says.
