Officers assist koala cross busy Australia highway

(WISH) – In Australia the question is not “why did the chicken cross the road?” But “why did the koala cross the road?”

A driver in Queensland posted video on Facebook of a koala bear casually walking across a busy road, stopping traffic.

The driver says cars didn’t get moving until a police officer came and guided the koala into a tree.

In his Facebook post the incident caused serious road incident on Brisbane Valley Highway and closed the road in both directions. He joked in the post, saying “police officers showed great restraint in not arresting (the) offender.”
