Homeless veteran with no family given ‘proper’ burial
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) John Pawlowski was laid to rest Wednesday.
Pawlowski, a 69-year-old U.S. Army veteran, died earlier this month. With no next-of-kin, though, a proper burial was not a certainty.
Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home thought differently. The Winchester Road funeral home offered a funeral service for Pawlowski – the honor he deserved, it said.
The public was invited to attend the funeral to pay their respects.
Pawlowski was buried at Lindenwood Cemetery.
