One person airlifted from crash on U.S. 30 in Columbia City

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WANE) – U.S. 30 in Columbia City was closed for about 90 minutes Tuesday night due to a multi-vehicle crash.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, including at least one tractor-trailer. It was first reported shortly before 9 p.m. on U.S. 30 at State Road 9.

Emergency dispatchers confirmed at least one person was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital, but it’s unknown how badly they were hurt.

Police have not said if anyone else was injured.

No other information was available Tuesday night.

The road was back open around 10:15 p.m.
