Chili’s customers are ‘creeped out’ by voyeurism charges

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – A man is facing several felony charges after prosecutors say he filmed women using the bathroom.

Prosecutors in Morgan and Hendricks counties say Justin Behnke filmed the women for six months last year.

Behnke admitted to police that he filmed the women. According to the probable cause affidavit, he admitted he had a fetish for watching women go to the bathroom. Police say he also apologized.

At the time Behnke was the general manager of the Chili’s off of State Road 37 in Martinsville.

“It’s a scary thing and it victimized a lot of women,” said Ashlee Mariani, as she was walking into the Chili’s.

Court documents say in the end, eight women were victimized, all of them his employees.

“It’s disgusting, and anybody who would experience that would be violated, and I mean that’s just awful,” said Nikki Woodcock, another Chili’s customer.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Behnke placed a camera in the air vent of the women’s bathroom. The dates range from March 2015 to August 2015.

“You can’t go to a public place and use the restroom. You can’t work someplace without being filmed and that’s creepy,” said Woodcock.

Court documents say Behnke said he had about 50 videos on his hard drive.

They also say he faces charges in Hendricks County where where police say he put a camera in the bathroom of his home.

The cameras were motion activated.

Police say all of the victims were adults, and according to court documents, the video files weren’t shared.

A lawyer for Chili’s says Behnke was fired on February 23. That’s the day after police obtained a warrant to search his house.
