Former gas station employee charged with theft

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A woman accused of stealing from her former employer has been formally charged.

According to court documents, 20-year-old Amanda Hall of Sedalia, Indiana, admitted to not turning in her key to the Marathon Gas Station on South Street when she quit.

Lafayette police said Hall admitted giving the key to someone so they could break into the gas station and steal cash. Hall said she drove the person to the gas station and told them where the cash was kept.

Police said Hall and her accomplice stole more than $150 dollars in coins. The gas station manager told police he “recently found a new place to hide cash.” He said the only thing left in that area was some change.

Hall has been charged with theft and conspiracy to commit burglary.
