Multi-agency investigation results in two arrests on gun and drug charges

WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTHI) – The Washington Police Department reports a joint investigation resulted in two arrests on Wednesday evening.

The investigation included the DEA, ATF, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Police Department and Indiana State Police.

During a search warrant at a home on Oak Grove Road in Washington, officials found about 190 grams of cocaine, a .22 caliber pistol, marijuana, schedule IV controlled substances, schedule I controlled substance and a ‘look a like’ substance. The estimated street value of the cocaine is reported to be $19,000.

Devin Bowman, 24 and Elizabeth James, 21 were both arrested for dealing in cocaine or narcotic drug, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, five counts of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and two counts of possession of a look-a-like substance.
