One taken to hospital following I-70 crash in Hancock Co.

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) –  One person was life lined to the hospital following an early morning crash on I-70 in Hancock County.

The crash happened just after 4 a.m. Saturday morning near the 104 mile marker on I-70 westbound.

According to Hancock County Dispatch, the crash involved a semi and a state highway vehicle.

The driver of the semi was momentarily trapped inside the vehicle, but was successfully extricated.  However, the driver of the semi was life lined to the hospital.

The condition of the semi driver and the driver of the state highway vehicle is not known at this time.

Crews are still on scene of the accident.

Both lanes of I-70 westbound have since been opened.
