Officer’s April Fool’s prank: ‘I’m with the feline unit’

SALINA, Utah (KSNT) – On April Fool’s Day, an officer in Utah decided to have some fun with his cat and some unsuspecting folks on the road.

In the video, the Salina City Police Department officer can be seen pulling the vehicle over as if it’s a regular traffic stop. He then tells them he smells an odor coming from the car and, since he is part of the “Feline Unit,” would like to have his “feline partner” check out the car for any drugs.

The video featuring “Officer Froo Froo” has gone viral online and has more than 2.4 million views. You can watch it below. Click here if it doesn’t load.

The officer’s Facebook posting states that the people he pulled over were legitimately speeding, but that he gave them a warning as he normally would for their rate of speed. He also states that no taxpayer money was used and that the cat wasn’t harmed at all while making the video.
