State police asking for public’s help locating missing Lafayette man

LAFAYETTE, Ind . (WISH) – The Indiana State Police have asked the public for help in finding a missing Lafayette man.

According to ISP, 47-year-old David Kallenberger was last spotted on I-65 near mile marker 86 in Johnson County on March 15.

Police say that Kallenberger was on the side of the road near his motorcycle which had broken down.  Kallenberger told police that he had help on the way and did not need any help from police.

Later, after returning to the scene, officers spotted the motorcycle, but say Kallenberger was nowhere to be found.

Police said Kallenberger was headed to Florida.

Kallenberger has not been heard from since that day.

He has been described as a white male with blue eyes, a shaved head, standing 5′ 9″ and weighing 200 pounds.  He also has a number of tattoos on his arms, neck and head. Piercings adorn his left eyebrow and left ear.
