Clinton opens Indy campaign office

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton opened an Indianapolis office Tuesday.

The campaign office, located in the Norgate Shopping Center on Keystone Avenue near 71st Street, is her first in the state.

It’s the latest effort in a recent push by presidential hopefuls to get a foothold in the Hoosier state.

Bernie Sanders already has an Indianapolis headquarters and regional offices in place.

Republican John Kasich is also planning to compete here. The campaign for the Republican Governor of Ohio hired a local political consulting firm, Hathaway Strategies, to help organize its Indiana effort.

Republican Ted Cruz still has no ground game in Indiana, but he has set up social media sites that are Indiana specific.
