Two adults, one child die in Ripley County crash

VERSAILLES, Ind. (WISH) – Three people died early Tuesday morning in a two vehicle crash in Ripley County.

According to Indiana State Police, Andre Devant, 31, Cincinnati, Ohio, allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of US 50 at County Road 300, then collided into a semi hauling a flatbed trailer loaded with sheets of drywall. The collision caused both vehicles to leave the roadway and roll before coming to a stop.

Police said Devant along with passengers, Margaret Guinn, 31, and Aaliyah Guinn, 3, both of Cincinnati were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi, Alexander Benge, 37, was transported to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. Benge has since been released from the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
