West Terre Haute man dies in tractor accident
WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A West Terre Haute man is dead after a tractor accident.
The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office says 80-year-old William Mueller died sometime Monday afternoon.
Police say Mueller was pulling tree’s from a wooded area on his property on South Thorpe Place in West Terre Haute.
The log chain attached to the tractor got caught in a large grape vine and caused the tractor to flip on top of Mueller.
The Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened between 12:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Police don’t know at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved, but do not think they were a factor in the accident.
An autopsy will be conducted.
