BMI naming award after Taylor Swift
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An award is being named after Taylor Swift.
Songwriters organization BMI announced it’s creating the Taylor Swift Award.
They organization said they are creating the award in recognition of her talent and influence.
The award will be presented next month at the BMI Pop Awards to miss Swift herself.
There has only been one other time BMI presented an award to someone’s name; That was Michael Jackson in 1990.CNN contributed to this report.
