Husband in Hendricks Co. death investigation dies

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Days after a situation where a woman was found dead and her husband wounded by gunshots, investigators said the husband has died.

The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office say 62-year-old Brian Edwards has died from gunshot injuries.

Officials said Edwards of Brownsburg died Wednesday. Edwards was shot twice.

Edwards was sent to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital on April 2 after police found him and his wife Lora Edwards in the 10200 block of Homestead Drive. Police said Lora was dead when they arrived on the scene.

An autopsy conducted Sunday didn’t find any signs of trauma. Toxicology results are pending, as are cause and manner of death.

The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into what happened in the home.
