Indy Chamber Orchestra hosts event highlighting peacemakers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra is presenting a work called “Peacemakers” next weekend.

James Aikman, a composer with the orchestra stopped by 24-Hour News 8 at noon to talk about the program.

He said the event will highlight speeches and contributions of famous peacemakers, including Mahatma Gandhi, Eleanor Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Robert F. Kennedy, Anwar Sadat, Yitzak Rabin, Nelson Mandela and Jimmy Carter.

Several local artists will be featured in the event.

Tickets are still available for the April 15 show. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
