Indiana cities to add hundreds of new jobs

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – More jobs are coming to Indiana and Eli Lilly is closer to a breakthrough on an Alzheimer treatment.

Expect a lot of jobs and economic development announcements in Indiana on Tuesday. The announcements will include jobs in Marshall and Hendricks counties and a ribbon-cutting in Henry County. The state says the Marshall County announcement will involve nearly 200 jobs to north central Indiana. There will also be a ribbon cutting in New Castle on Boar’s Head brand’s delicatessen product manufacturing and R&D facility.

In other business news, Eli Lilly and Astrazeneca have breakthrough news regarding the treatment of Alzheimer’s. The treatment successfully met the primary endpoints. It now is eligible to move ahead to the phase three trial. However, Alzheimer treatments have proven to be difficult so there’s still more testing to come.
