Summer gas prices will be cheapest in 12 years, IN’s rank in financial savvy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Summer gas prices will be the cheapest in 12 years, and where does Indiana rank when it comes to financial savvy?

Triple A said gas prices this summer will be at least as cheap as 2009 and maybe as cheap as 2005.

In other business news, when it  comes to financial savvy, Indiana falls in the middle.

According to a study by Wallethub, Indiana ranks 31st on a list of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Researchers looked at 20 metrics that represent financial savvy, including factors like credit usage, foreclosure rate, percentage of unbanked households and personal-bankruptcy rate.
