IMPD arrests 2 after Kroger pharmacy robbery
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two suspects accused of robbing a Kroger pharmacy on Saturday have been arrested by IMPD detectives.
Officers were called to a robbery in progress at a Kroger store in the 5800 block of East 71st Street around 3:15 p.m. Witnesses were able to provide police with a detailed suspect description.
Police saw the suspects attempting to leave in a car. The suspects fled on foot but were caught and arrested without incident.
Investigators said the suspects entered the store and walked up to the pharmacy counter, handing the pharmacist a note announcing an “armed robbery.” Their note demanded an undisclosed amount of controlled narcotics. The pharmacist complied, and the suspects left the scene.
The suspects were identified as 18-year-olds Brushawn Watson and Anthony Davis, both of Indianapolis. They have been preliminarily charged with robbery.
